Anemometer sensor & Wind speed sensors & Wind direction sensors &Wind sensor & Anenometer & Anenometer are used for wind speed and direction measurement. Different technologies, including mechanical anemometers, ultrasonic anemometers, hot wire anemometers, and others, can implement wind sensors. People often use these 3 types of wind sensors in combination to provide comprehensive wind data. Many industries widely use them in weather stations, aviation, oceanography, environmental monitoring, and agriculture.
There are usually three or four cups, mounted symmetrically on a horizontal axis. The cup usually has a round or cone shape. Designers make it to catch the wind’s force. This helps the whole structure spin.
The measurement of wind speed relies on the rotation of the impeller in the wind. When the wind hits the impeller, it pushes on the blade.
This force makes the impeller spin around its axis. As the wind speed increases, the impeller spins faster. A device inside measures how fast the impeller spins. It then changes this speed into wind speed data for display or recording.
Ultrasonic anemometers operate on the principle that wind speed affects the propagation time of ultrasonic waves in the air. It generally contains two pairs of ultrasonic transducers, which can send and receive ultrasonic signals.
Pitot Tube Anemometer is an instrument that measures the velocity of a fluid (especially a gas). It mainly consists of a pitot tube and a pressure gauge.
