Solar radiation shield

The solar radiation shield helps get accurate temperature and humidity readings. It works well in places with direct or reflected sunlight. This shield keeps outdoor air temperature and humidity sensors safe from rain and heat.

You can mount it on tripods, masts, or flat vertical surfaces. We provide multi-plate radiation shields. These shields can be naturally aspirated or fan aspirated.

The fan aspirated shield uses a fan to pull air across a temperature sensor. This helps improve the accuracy of air temperature measurements, but it also increases the system’s power needs.
