Key Features of Different Liquid Level Sensor Types

Submersible Sensors:

These devices are made to be fully submerged in liquid. They measure pressure or buoyancy to find the level. Sensors work well with liquids, even corrosive or thick ones. They need protection from damage caused by chemicals.

Radar Sensors:

Use microwave signals that do not touch to find liquid surfaces. They work well in dusty, humid, or hot places. These signals are great for detecting volatile or toxic liquids. Since there is no physical contact, safety is ensured.

Ultrasonic Sensors:

Send out high-frequency sound waves. These waves bounce off the surface of the liquid. Measure the level by timing the echo.

This method works well for clean, non-foaming liquids in open tanks. It does not work well with heavy vapors or rough surfaces that can disturb the sound waves.
