It measures duct wind speed by detecting the cooling effect of airflow on a heated thermal element, where the heat dissipation rate corresponds linearly to the actual air velocity.

Description

CDF-12A PIPE WIND SPEED SENSOR

The CDF-12A pipe wind speed sensor works based on the hot wire principle. We use materials for the probe and housing that can resist high temperatures and corrosion. In a bad environment, we make sure it works steadily and reliably. This lets us measure small air flows quickly and accurately.

We have achieved high precision and resolution for this product. This is due to internal linear compensation and temperature calibration. Its long-term stability is very good. We should install it directly.

1. Q: What is the suitable installation position for a duct air velocity sensor?

A: It should be installed in a straight section of the duct, away from elbows, valves, dampers, and sudden diameter changes, to ensure stable and accurate airflow measurement.

2. Q: How often should the duct air velocity sensor be cleaned?

A: Under normal working conditions, clean the probe surface from dust and dirt every 3 to 6 months. In dusty or oily environments, cleaning frequency should be increased.

3. Q: Can the sensor be used in high-temperature or corrosive ducts?

A: Standard sensors are for normal-temperature, non-corrosive air. For high-temperature, humid, or corrosive gas environments, a high-temperature-resistant or anti-corrosion model must be selected.

4. Q: What output signals are available for duct air velocity sensors?

A: Common output signals include analog current (4–20 mA), voltage (0–5 V / 0–10 V), and digital outputs such as RS485 (Modbus), to match different monitoring and control systems.
