Description
CDW-1T0 Visibility Sensor
The react visibility sensor forward scatter measurement principle and unique design ensure the output is both accurate and reliable in all weather conditions. The forward scatter measurement principle and unique design ensure that we can obtain an output which is both accurate and reliable in all weather conditions and will not be influenced by local light sources, even those that flash. We have a measurement range from 10m to 10km. We make the sensor suitable for use in road and aviation.
It is constructed from robust aluminium and finished with a high quality powder coat, so it will provide years of reliable service. We provide heating of the optical windows and sensor hoods as standard, allowing its use in the harshest of conditions. We monitor both optical windows for contamination and automatically compensate the visibility output to reduce maintenance requirement.

Application
Transportation:
◉At airports, react visibility sensor are crucial for aircraft takeoff and landing. Low visibility weather (e.g. fog, haze, etc.) can seriously affect the pilot’s line of sight. The sensors can monitor the visibility near the runway in real time, and warn the tower and pilot in time when the visibility is lower than the takeoff and landing standard.
◉On highways and highways, visibility sensors help traffic authorities to keep track of road conditions. In foggy weather, reduced visibility can lead to speed restrictions and an increased risk of accidents. The sensors can transmit visibility data to the traffic command center, which can issue traffic alerts such as speed limit and stay distance to drivers via variable information signs (VMS).
Meteorological monitoring:
◉Visibility sensors are widely used by weather stations to obtain data on the optical properties of the atmosphere. Visibility is one of the basic elements of meteorological observation, which is closely related to aerosol and water vapor in the atmosphere. By monitoring changes in visibility over time, meteorologists can analyze the evolution of weather systems. For example, visibility can change significantly during the formation and dissipation of fog.
◉In climate research, visibility sensor data can reflect long-term trends in the atmospheric environment. With increasing industrialization and urbanization, the amount of pollutants in the atmosphere may affect visibility. By analyzing visibility data over many years, changes in atmospheric aerosols can be studied, which has important implications for assessing climate change and the impact of human activities on the climate.
Environmental monitoring:
◉Visibility is closely related to air quality. Scientists, environmental monitors or relevant workers can use react visibility sensors as auxiliary tools for air quality monitoring, because changes in the concentration of pollutants like particulate matter (such as PM2.5, PM10), sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides in the atmosphere can affect visibility.
