Description
CDT-1T3B Soil Layers Temperature&Moisture Sensor
The CDT-1T3B soil sensor with three, four, or five layers. Each layer of soil is equipped with a genuine sensor, making the data more realistic and accurate compared to other tubular sensors available in the market.
The soil layers sensor in each layer are filled with epoxy resin glue, which fixes all the devices. As a result, the measured data will not fluctuate and is more precise. Additionally, this also safeguards the sensor during transportation.

Application
Agriculture:
◉In modern agriculture, precision irrigation is the key to improving water efficiency and crop yield. Multi-layer soil temperature and humidity sensors can penetrate into different levels of soil for measurement. For example, growing wheat in arid areas, the sensor can detect the temperature and humidity of 0-10 cm, 10-20 cm and 20-30 cm soil layers, respectively.
◉In the root growth stage of crops, understanding the temperature and humidity of deep soil is particularly important. Roots can grow and absorb nutrients better in a suitable temperature and humidity environment. Through the sensor data, the influence of temperature and humidity at different soil levels on crop root development can be studied. For example, it is observed that when the temperature of 20-30 cm soil layer is 20-25 ℃ and the humidity is 60-70%, the corn root growth is the most vigorous.
Forestry field:
◉The multi-layer soil temperature and humidity sensor can provide data support for the management of seedling matrix in the process of tree seedling cultivation. For example, when pine trees are growing, the optimal planting time can be determined by monitoring the shallow soil temperature. When the soil temperature reaches about 15-20 ℃, it is conducive to the germination of pine seeds.
Environmental monitoring:
◉Multilayer soil temperature and humidity sensors can be used to study soil water balance. By installing sensors at different locations within an ecological region, it is possible to monitor water inputs (e.g. rainfall, irrigation) and outputs (e.g. evaporation, plant transpiration) at different levels of the soil.
