Description
CDT-15A Suspended Matter Sensor
The CDT-15A suspended matter sensor uses electrochemical reactions to work. When a substance is in the water, it sticks to the electrode. This creates a film on the surface. This film alters the electrical state of the electrode.
It also affects the electrode potential. This lets the sensor find tiny living things like algae, bacteria, and zooplankton in water. It can also measure water quality factors like pH, temperature, and dissolved oxygen levels.
It is also used to check wastewater in drinking water plants and industrial treatment plants. In the food processing industry, it helps control bacteria and ensure beverage quality.

Application
Water environment monitoring:
◉Suspended Matter sensors play a key role in monitoring water quality in rivers and lakes. It can measure the amount of suspended solids in the water in real time. This is important for checking how clear and good the water is.
◉In the marine environment, suspended matter sensors help study marine ecology and ocean processes. For example, in coastal waters, rivers can bring in sediment and land-based pollutants. This can raise the amount of suspended solids in seawater.
Drinking water treatment:
◉In drinking water treatment plants, suspended matter sensors help check raw water quality. The amount of suspended matter in raw water affects the treatment process. If the suspended matter is too high, it makes filtration and precipitation harder.
◉In the next treatment step, like disinfection, sensors can check for new suspended matter in the water. They can also see if leftover suspended matter affects the disinfection process. By monitoring in real-time and providing feedback, we can ensure the quality and safety of drinking water.
Aquaculture:
◉In aquaculture, the level of suspended solids in the water matters. It impacts the growth and health of water life. In fish tanks, too many tiny particles can block fish gills. This can make it hard for them to breathe and eat.
◉In an aquaculture ecosystem, changes in suspended matter concentration can affect physical factors. These factors include light, temperature, and water flow. This, in turn, impacts the balance of the ecosystem.
