Description
CDT-15A Suspended Matter Sensor
CDT-15A Suspended matter sensor technology operates based on electrochemical reactions. When a suspended substance exists in the water, it adsorbs onto the electrode surface, forming a film. This film alters the electrochemical state of the electrode surface and subsequently impacts the electrode potential. It enables the detection of microorganisms such as algae, bacteria, and zooplankton in water. It can also measure water quality indicators like pH value, temperature, and dissolved oxygen.
Moreover, it is applicable for wastewater monitoring in drinking water plants and industrial wastewater treatment plants. In the food processing industry, it serves to control bacterial contamination and guarantee beverage quality.

Application
Water environment monitoring:
◉Suspended Matter sensors play a key role in monitoring water quality in rivers and lakes. It can measure the concentration of suspended solids in the water in real time, which is crucial for assessing the clarity and quality of the water.
◉In the Marine environment, suspended matter sensors can be used to study Marine ecology and oceanographic processes. For example, in coastal waters, sediment and land-based pollutants imported by rivers can increase the content of suspended solids in seawater.
Drinking water treatment:
◉In drinking water treatment plants, suspended matter sensors are an important tool for assessing raw water quality. The content of suspended matter in raw water directly affects the subsequent treatment process. If the concentration of suspended matter is too high, it will increase the burden of filtration and precipitation.
◉Similarly, in the subsequent treatment process such as disinfection, suspended matter sensors can also be used to monitor whether new suspended matter is produced in the water or whether residual suspended matter will affect the disinfection effect. Through real-time monitoring and feedback control, the quality and safety of drinking water can be guaranteed.
Aquaculture:
◉In aquaculture, the concentration of suspended solids in the water body has an important effect on the growth and health of aquatic organisms. For example, in fish culture tanks, too high a concentration of suspended solids may clog the gills of fish, affecting their breathing and feeding.
◉In aquaculture ecosystem, the change of suspended matter concentration will affect the physical environment factors such as light, temperature and water flow, thus affecting the balance of the ecosystem.
