Water pH sensor is a kind of instrument used to measure the pH of aqueous solution, its working principle is mainly through the electrode to measure the concentration of hydrogen ions in aqueous solution to obtain the pH value. It has the characteristics of precision, fast and convenient, the range is usually 0 ~ 14pH, the accuracy can reach ±0.1pH or so, can be widely used in household drinking water, swimming pool, industrial and agricultural irrigation and other fields of water quality monitoring.

Application

Aquaculture:

◉In aquaculture, water pH sensors are an essential tool. Aquatic organisms are very sensitive to changes in the pH of the water. For example, most freshwater fish are comfortable living in waters with a pH of 6.5-8.5. The pH sensor monitors the pH value of the breeding tank in real time. When the pH value exceeds the appropriate range, farmers can take timely measures to adjust it.

◉The change of pH value is also closely related to the occurrence of diseases in aquaculture organisms. For instance, if a water body’s pH drops below 6, it can suppress a fish’s immune system, increasing its vulnerability to bacterial and parasitic diseases.

 

Drinking water treatment:

◉In the drinking water treatment process, operators use pH sensors to monitor the pH of raw and treated water. Authorities generally require the pH of drinking water to be between 6.5 and 8.5. During the raw water stage, operators can understand the pH of the raw water by using the pH sensor. This data provides a reference for the subsequent treatment process.
