Description
CDL-17B Radar Flowmeter Sensor
The CDL-17B radar flowmeter is capable of continuously measuring the water flow of rivers and open channels. It combines with the radar flow meter and the radar water level gauge to measure the surface velocity and water level in a non-contact manner. For regular channel sections, one can use conventional mathematical formulas to calculate flow results.

Application
Water conservancy:
◉In river flow monitoring, Radar Flowmeter plays a crucial role. By transmitting radar waves and receiving reflected waves from the water surface, it measures the surface speed of the water flow, and then combines the cross-sectional area of the river to calculate the river flow. For example, in flood control and mitigation work, accurate river flow data is a key basis for judging the scale and trend of floods.
Urban water supply and drainage system:
◉At the inlet and outlet of the sewage treatment plant, radar flowmeters are used to monitor the sewage flow. Accurate wastewater flow data is the key to optimize the operation of wastewater treatment plants. For example, at the water inlet, by monitoring the sewage flow, the parameters of the sewage treatment process can be adjusted in advance, such as the dosage of chemicals, aeration intensity, etc., to adapt to the treatment requirements under different flows.
Shipping and ports:
◉In channel management, radar flowmeters can be used to monitor the speed of water flow in the channel. Water velocity is an important factor affecting the safety and efficiency of ship navigation. For example, in key locations such as port access channels and narrow waterways, by monitoring water flow speed, ship drivers can understand the water flow in advance, and reasonably adjust the ship’s speed and course to ensure navigation safety.
